Huawei to release Ascend AI chip early in 2027

Huawei will release its Ascend 960DT, a chip built for artificial intelligence tasks, in early 2027, six months earlier than its planned summer target. Rotating chairman David Wang shared the faster plan at Huawei Connect on September 17, 2026. Huawei said more customers want its AI chips than it can produce.
