Huawei moves up Ascend 960DT AI chip to early 2027

Huawei will launch its Ascend 960DT chip for AI computing in Q1 2027, two quarters earlier than its previous Q3 target. Rotating chairman David Wang announced the faster schedule at Huawei Connect on September 17, 2026. Huawei said customer demand for its AI chips is currently greater than supply.
