Uber in Early Talks to Add Self-Driving Cars From Kalanick's Startup

Travis Kalanick's startup Atoms has held early talks with Uber about putting Atoms' self-driving car technology into Uber's ride network, the Financial Times reported September 6. Uber has invested $100 million in Atoms, which raised $1.7 billion led by Andreessen Horowitz and bought Anthony Levandowski's self-driving mining startup Pronto. The talks are exploratory, not firm commitments.
