Kalanick's Atoms in Talks to Put Robotaxi Tech Inside Uber's Network

Travis Kalanick's robotics startup Atoms has held discussions with Uber about deploying Atoms-built robotaxi technology within Uber's ride-hailing network, the Financial Times reported September 6. Uber has invested $100 million in Atoms, which raised $1.7 billion led by Andreessen Horowitz and acquired Anthony Levandowski's autonomous mining startup Pronto. The talks are exploratory, not product commitments.
