Belkin's New Power Banks Use a Safer Battery Type

Belkin launched its first power banks using a newer battery technology called semi-solid-state, which uses a gel instead of a liquid inside the cell. The UltraCharge Pro line starts at $69.99 for 5,000mAh and $89.99 for 10,000mAh. Belkin says the cells last up to 3x longer and overheat less, but independent tests are not yet available.
