Marazzi's Gerda Taro biopic opens Orizzonti at 2026 Venice

Alina Marazzi's "The Girl With The Leica" opened the Orizzonti section at the 2026 Venice Film Festival, per Deadline (3 September 2026). Emilia Schüle plays Taro, the first woman photojournalist killed covering a conflict, who died in Spain at 26. The 118-minute Italian-German co-production from Vivo Film, Rai Cinema and Komplizen Film has Fandango Sales handling international rights.
