Anker Turns Earbud Tech Into Hearing Aids

Anker announced its first over-the-counter hearing aids at IFA 2026 on September 3, reusing a sound chip from its Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro earbuds. The design pairs a small speaker placed in the ear canal with four microphones that focus on sound from specific directions. The launch comes about two months after LXE Hearing, parent of Eargo and Lexie, left the US market. No price or release date was given.
