One Nation wins its first seat in WA's lower house

One Nation's Luke Herdegen has beaten Labor's Georgia Tree in the Secret Harbour byelection — a vote to fill a single vacant seat. One Nation won 39.1% of first-preference votes to Labor's 24.4%, a 22.1-point drop for Labor. It's the party's first seat in WA's lower house. WA leader Rod Caddies declared: "There are no safe Labor seats in this state or in this country any more."
