Ed Davey turned away from blood donation after France trip
Sir Ed Davey visited Brixton Donor Centre to encourage blood donations before the NHS faces its busy winter period. He was turned away because he had holidayed in France's Charente region. The NHS stops people donating blood for 28 days after visits to parts of France where mosquitoes can spread certain diseases. A Lib Dem spokesperson said Davey will return once that period ends.
