MoD spends £6m on backpack gliders to fly troops behind enemy lines

The Ministry of Defence has bought £6m of backpack-sized motorised gliders to fly British troops up to 200 miles behind enemy lines. The BBC reported the lightweight machines, made by Wiltshire startup Blakcro, take eight minutes to assemble and launch on foot. Trials begin in the coming months.
