Outer Biosciences, founded by Michael Polansky, is teaching an AI system using real, living human skin tissue as direct input, TechCrunch reported August 22. The company spent years keeping that tissue alive outside the body for over a month. Most AI in biology learns from computer-stored data; this company uses the tissue itself.
