U.S. Defense Investors Fund Nigerian Startup Terra Industries

Nigerian defense-technology startup Terra Industries raised $52 million in early funding on August 17, 2026. One investor, 8VC, also funds major American defense companies Anduril and Shield AI. The deal shows that investors powering the recent boom in U.S. defense technology are now putting money into manufacturing in developing countries.
