Nigerian defense-tech startup Terra Industries extended its seed round to $52 million on August 17, 2026. Investors include 8VC, also a backer of U.S. defense primes Anduril and Shield AI. The participation of established American defense-tech investors in an African company signals that venture capital networks financing the U.S. defense-tech wave are now funding manufacturing capacity in the Global South.
