China's Former Leader Zhu Rongji Dies at 97

Former Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji died in Beijing on August 12 at age 97, Xinhua reported. As premier from 1998 to 2003, Zhu opened China to global trade and reshaped government-run companies. His passing comes as slower growth and U.S. trade tensions test the economic approach he created.
