Government departments not sharing computer systems as told to, official says

The government's top digital official has told ministers that departments are still buying their own computer systems separately, wasting money and effort. He told department bosses last year to share technology under a Cabinet plan. A Treasury report for December 2025 shows no one changed what they were doing.
