FDA Peptide Panel: Industry-Tied Members Added Before Narrow Vote to Expand Access

An FDA advisory panel voted 8-6 (one abstention) on July 23, 2026, to recommend placing BPC-157, TB-500, and KPV on the compounding list. More than half a dozen members with peptide industry ties were added beforehand. Industry-affiliated members largely voted yes; academic members mostly voted no. FDA staff scientists had cited insufficient safety data. Health Secretary RFK Jr. calls himself a "big fan."
