The RealReal Plans Bot Curbs After an Agent Repeatedly Re-Held Cart Items

The RealReal said it is updating its bot defense system to make it harder for AI agents to log in, add items to cart and check out. The change follows a Verge test in which Meta's Muse repeatedly re-added listings after 20-minute cart holds expired, blocking other shoppers for hours or longer. Agents can still surface listings, the company said.
