Global PC Shipments Fell 21% in Q3 2026 to 57 Million Units

Global PC shipments fell 21 percent year-over-year in Q3 2026 to 57 million units, Counterpoint Research reported on 22 October. Counterpoint linked the decline to higher prices for RAM, SSDs and chips. Shipments had grown for over two years until Q2 2026. IDC and Omdia reported drops of about 20 percent.
