Global PC Shipments Fell 21% in Q3 2026, Counterpoint Reports

Global PC shipments fell 21 percent year-over-year in Q3 2026, to 57 million units, Counterpoint Research reported on 22 October. Counterpoint attributed the decline to higher prices for RAM (working memory), SSDs (solid-state storage) and chips. Shipments had grown for more than two years until Q2 2026. IDC and Omdia reported drops of roughly 20 percent.
