Spotify Removed 50 Million AI Slop Tracks From Recommendations

Spotify said October 20, 2026, it removed more than 50 million tracks classified as AI-generated slop or spam from recommendations over the past year. The exclusion covers algorithmic playlists and personalized ranking. Spotify editors do not program content identified as slop or spam.
