Spotify Pulls 50 Million AI Spam Tracks From Recommendations

Spotify said October 20, 2026, it kept more than 50 million tracks labeled as AI-generated slop or spam out of recommendations over the past year. That means they do not appear in algorithmic playlists — automatically built mixes — or personalized rankings. Spotify's editors also do not feature such tracks.
