A Queensland Children's Hospital specialist warned in 2019 that Elizabeth Struhs could 'not' safely return to mother Kerrie if she kept denying the need for insulin. The nine-page report went to child safety and police. Elizabeth, 8 with type 1 diabetes, died in Toowoomba in January 2022 after insulin was withdrawn. An inquest opened Monday.
