Gordon-Levitt says worry about AI builders, not AI itself

Joseph Gordon-Levitt said builders, not bots, deserve scrutiny over AI in a New York Times video interview published Oct. 10, 2026, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He said, according to the Reporter, "We shouldn't be scared of an AI. We should be concerned about the people building AI." He warned models are trained to hijack intimacy, the Reporter said.
