
East Fishkill unanimously blocks large data-center reviews until July 2029
East Fishkill, New York unanimously barred consideration of new data centers over 20 megawatts until July 2029. The three-year moratorium, adopted in late June, pauses review to study water and ecosystem impacts. The town of about 30,000, 70 miles north of New York City, has zoning that did not allow large data centers.
