Holborn byelection is first electoral test for Burnham premiership

Polls closed Oct. 8 in Holborn and St Pancras, Keir Starmer's former seat. The byelection is the first electoral test for Andy Burnham, who succeeded Starmer as Labour leader in July almost three months into his premiership. Labour seeks to retain a seat Starmer won with an 11,000-plus majority in 2024.
