Holborn Byelection Is First Test of Burnham's Premiership

Polls closed Oct. 8 in Holborn and St Pancras, Keir Starmer's former seat. The byelection — a vote to fill an empty seat — is the first electoral test for Andy Burnham, who succeeded Starmer as Labour leader in July and is now nearly three months into his premiership. Labour is defending Starmer's 2024 majority of over 11,000.
