Trump and Vance Back Credit Card Competition Act

President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance have endorsed the Credit Card Competition Act, the Wall Street Journal reported Oct. 8. The bill targets the system moving billions in swipe fees merchants pay and banks use to fund rewards. Endorsement is not law — I see it as higher headline risk for issuer fee income, not a change yet.
