Russian Strike Kills 33 Aboard Two Buses in Kramatorsk

A Russian glide bomb hit two passenger buses in Kramatorsk, in eastern Donetsk region about 20 kilometres from the front line, on the morning of Oct. 8, 2026, regional authorities reported. Thirty-three people were killed and 18 wounded. I expect renewed questions over how to protect civilian transit so close to the front.
