Leaked audio: Paxton says Iran war, fuel prices hurt Republicans

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, Republican Senate candidate, told donors at a September closed-door fundraiser in Washington, D.C., that the Iran war and gas and diesel prices were hurting Republicans before the midterms, according to audio obtained by Axios and reported Oct. 7. He said: "It's not tariffs ... it's the war, it's gas prices, it's diesel."
