California couple charged with abusing 14 surrogate-born children

Guojun Xuan, 66, and Silvia Shasha Zhang, 39, have been charged with abusing at least 14 surrogate-born children at their Arcadia mansion, prosecutors allege. The couple, who ran their own surrogacy company, pleaded not guilty in Pasadena. Prosecutors accuse them of conspiracy and repeated physical abuse. Xuan faces up to 17 years in prison if convicted.
