
Kosovo Fails to Elect President as Police Clash With Protesters
Kosovo lawmakers failed to reach quorum to elect a president on Oct. 5 as police used tear gas and water cannon against protesters demanding changes to the Hague-based war crimes court's law. The presidency has been vacant since April. Nov. 15 has emerged as a likely date for a new election if lawmakers fail to agree.
