
Bill C-40 would turn Defence Investment Agency into arm's-length Crown corporation
Ottawa has tabled Bill C-40 to convert the Defence Investment Agency into the Canadian Corporation for Defence Investment, a board-governed Crown corporation at arm's length from government. The government says the model would speed procurement and give the body more purchasing discretion outside day-to-day ministerial control.
