Aegean Boat Report founder faces 20-year trial in absentia on Rhodes

Tommy Olsen, 54, founder of Aegean Boat Report, an independent monitor of distressed vessels in the Aegean, was to stand trial on Rhodes on October 6, 2026, without attending after Norway declined extradition. He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted. He denies the charges and says he is defending the rule of law.
