Flávio Bolsonaro and Lula head to 25 October runoff
Flávio Bolsonaro won 47.03% of valid votes to Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's 45.16%, forcing a 25 October runoff for Brazil's presidency. The right-wing senator, son of former president Jair Bolsonaro, outperformed polls to finish first over incumbent Lula.
