Imran Khan supporters begin dayslong march to Islamabad demanding his release

More than 5,000 supporters of jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan began a dayslong march from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa toward Islamabad on Oct. 4 to demand his release. Led by Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, organisers expect the column to reach Peshawar by Wednesday. Khan, 74, has been imprisoned since 2023 after serving as prime minister from 2018 to 2022.
