West Coast-Tasman to get new MP as Pugh retires, O'Connor steps aside

West Coast-Tasman will elect a new MP at the November election, according to RNZ. National's Maureen Pugh is retiring, while Labour's Damien O'Connor is no longer contesting the seat after 33 years as an MP. O'Connor held the electorate since its creation in 1996, apart from terms won by National's Chris Auchinvole and Pugh.
