Flydubai Co-Pilot Allegedly Attacked Captain With Axe, Forcing Emergency Landing

The co-pilot of Flydubai flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv on 30 September, named by Reuters, CNN and The New York Times as Hamam al-Hammami, allegedly attacked Capt Smit Machchhar with a crash axe. The jet carrying 170+ mostly Israeli passengers plunged 17,000ft before passengers overpowered him. Two reserve pilots landed safely in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.
