Apple to tighten macOS Full Disk Access controls over AI agent risks

Apple is introducing additional controls around macOS Full Disk Access, which allows apps to read files, mail, messages and browsing history. The company said AI agents have increased the risks and that risks will grow as agents become more capable. Users can still grant access, but only with very explicit action.
