Indian Police Detain 500+ in Delhi as Gen Z Protests Demand Election Chief Resign

Indian police detained more than 500 people in central New Delhi on Oct. 2 as the Gen Z-led Cockroach Janta Party, student groups and opposition supporters protested demanding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar resign over voter-roll revisions. Authorities barricaded Jantar Mantar, closed 11 metro stations and banned gatherings under Section 163.
