FCC Chair Says Taxpayer-Funded Trump Ads Need No Review

FCC Chairman Brendan Carr said Sept. 30, 2026, taxpayer-funded TV spots featuring President Donald Trump require no agency review: "There's nothing in there that strikes me to merit any sort of FCC review." Carr, appointed by Trump, likened them to public service announcements. The White House says the spots are not campaign ads.
