Poundland management in advanced talks on £30m buyout to save 11,000 jobs

Poundland managers including current boss Barry Williams and former chief Andy Bond are in "advanced talks" to buy the chain from Gordon Brothers for £30m, a deal that could save more than 11,000 jobs across 600 stores. Gordon Brothers has hired Alvarez & Marsal to oversee a sale. Talks with an unnamed backer continue.
