RBA lifts cash rate to 4.6% in fourth hike this year

The Reserve Bank of Australia has lifted the cash rate to 4.6%, its fourth increase in 2026. Markets had given a September hike a 93% chance. Mortgage holders will feel it first. The Bank says inflation remains too high; don't hold your breath for relief.
