Russia strikes Odesa port infrastructure, injuring at least eight

Russia struck port infrastructure and other sites in Ukraine's Odesa region overnight into 29 September 2026, injuring at least eight people, regional governor Oleh Kiper reported. Aftermath operations were underway, with the injured receiving medical care. Odesa's ports anchor Ukraine's exports and aid flows, so repeated strikes there test logistics and air-defence planning ahead of winter.
