
Tennessee governor denies clemency; Christa Pike execution scheduled Sept. 30
Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee denied clemency to Christa Pike on Sept. 28. Pike, 50, is scheduled for execution on Sept. 30 for the 1995 murder of 19-year-old Colleen Slemmer. She was convicted in 1996 and became the youngest woman placed on death row in modern U.S. history.
