Five arrested near RAF Fairford on terrorism suspicion after vans intercepted

Five London-based men were arrested in Whelford near RAF Fairford on Sept. 27 on suspicion of terrorism offences. Counterterrorism police say armed officers stopped three vans after reports at 12:45 a.m. that vehicles were traveling toward the base, a British installation used by the United States. The investigation was continuing Sept. 28.
