US Offered to Sell Iran Uranium for Civilian Use, Waltz Says

US Ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz said on NBC's Meet the Press that US negotiators offered to sell Iran uranium for civilian use and Tehran refused. He said the Trump administration would accept a civilian program under international law, modeled on the UAE's 2009 deal forgoing domestic enrichment. Handing over current highly enriched stocks was one option.
