New Zealand First would abolish Waitangi Tribunal within first 100 days

New Zealand First says it would abolish the Waitangi Tribunal and introduce replacement legislation within the first 100 days of a new government. The party announced the policy on 26 September, according to RNZ. The Tribunal is a standing commission of inquiry that makes recommendations on Māori claims about legislation, policies and actions.
