Madonna wins seven VMAs, lifts career total to 26

Madonna won seven awards at the 2026 MTV VMAs on Sept 27, the most for any artist at the ceremony, Billboard reported. The haul takes her career total to 26 VMAs, behind Taylor Swift with 32 and Beyoncé with 29. Three wins aired live: artist of the year, best dance and best collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter.
