U.S., China Agree to Extend Trade Truce Until January, Bessent Says

U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent said the U.S. and China agreed to extend their trade truce until January after President Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping wrapped up a two-day summit in Washington on Sept. 24. Xi held talks with Trump at the White House on the morning of Sept. 24, according to China’s Foreign Ministry.
