Average 30-year mortgage rate hits 7.03% for week ending Sept. 24

7.03% was the U.S. average 30-year fixed mortgage rate for the week ending Sept. 24, according to Federal Reserve Economic Data, up from 6.91% on Sept. 8 reported by The Wall Street Journal. Borrowers face higher monthly payments; I see little refinance incentive left above 7%.
